Last night, my friends and I had a big New Year’s party, and I’m so grateful I got to end 2025 with them. There was champagne, party poppers, and good food (we catered Cane’s). I even made a 2025 trivia quiz to see who remembered all the big moments of the year. It was hilarious watching everyone get competitive over trying to remember the lyrics to the AI Charlie Kirk song or world events like the Nepal Discord election.
Then we welcomed the new year the Spanish way: we all ate 12 grapes, each one representing a wish or resolution. I loved the simple magic of it, trying not to laugh as I shoved grapes into my mouth while everyone else did the same. Laughing with friends, and even with a few people I didn’t know very well, made the moment feel full and warm, and getting to add to that chaos meant the world to me.
Last year was rough, physically and mentally, and honestly, the year before that wasn’t easier. Now I feel ready to move forward. I want to grow, learn, and fill my days with more energy, joy, and intention.
